The Beachy Family -Washington DC Spring Family Session

The only way I know to describe this family is talented and incredibly kind. Michelle is a teacher, mother and amazing photographer. You can follow her here. It’s always a pressure when I’m asked to photograph another photographer, especially when they drive 4 hours for the session AND you are running 2 hours late due…

Kelsie -An Adoption Story

Our friends, Joe and Darlene, just finalized their adoption and little Kelsie is finally their own! If there is one thing I have learnt watching my friends go through adoptions is this: you need a community to surround you with support, encouragement, and to celebrate with you. Joe and Dar, we couldn’t be more happy…

The Durney Family -Washington, DC Family Photographer

I’ve known the Durney family for years and finally had the honor of photographing them. They are about as relaxed as they come! Which makes them perfect to photograph. They snuggled, gave butterfly kisses and were simply a pleasure to hang out with for an hour. The afternoon was perfect and the golden sun gave…

The Brady Family -Washington, DC Family Photographer

Momo turned two! It’s hard to believe and feels just like yesterday when I photographed his newborn photos. It was the perfect sunny morning when I arrived at their house. Poor Momo was so excited, he tripped opening up the front door for me and tumbled off the step. I’m not sure what it is…

The Shapiro Family |3 generations

When Angelyn reached out to me about taking photos for her I was so exited. I had met her through a playgroup for children near our neighborhood. She is a yoga instructor and works with a lot of local mothers. I always admired her sweet personality and the way she interacts with her daughter. Her…

The K family -Upper Senate Park, DC

You are promised lots of energy when the family is all boys. I love it though. Smiles and tickles create connection in images that are irreplaceable. Enjoy this sweet family’s session at the Capitol.

Oliver |DC Family Photographer at the Franciscan Monastery

This was such a fun session! Toddlers are always on the move, creating fun opportunities to capture them being themselves. We sang together, played ring-round-the-rosy and smelled all the flowers. Little “Ollie” was just adorable. (I may have pinched his cheeks a few times) Enjoy their quiet session at the Franciscan Monastery in NE DC.

Welcoming Home Anika -adoption story

I have waited for this session for years and it couldn’t have been a more perfect evening! We never know how our lives will play out, or the turns it can take. Even when we are sure of our calling, when enough time passes we can start to doubt and the waiting gets really hard….

The Miller Family | Washington, DC Family Session

Any family is a privilege to photograph but when they have opened their hearts and home to adoption, it is such an honor to capture. Adoption journeys can be long and hard but also very rewarding full of little triumphs. Jason and Carolyn, may you always feel the Lord’s leading in your life and family….

The Wood Family |Washington, DC

Never underestimate a kind deed. I was waiting at the Smithsonian gardens for a client to arrive when I saw this sweet family trying to take a family photo. I walked over and offered to take a few shots for them. Michelle then asked if I was a photographer and interested in taking their family…
