Washington DC Newborn Photographer

I have been a Washington DC Newborn Photographer for over ten years and snuggling a little baby and capturing that new phase is still just as sweet to me. I love meeting new families but repeat clients feel so special. They already know my approach to newborn photography and how I move through their home. Instead of introductions it feels like I am returning to a friend’s home.

This sweet family welcomed a little boy with fine features and lots of dark hair. It was an honor to photograph them now as a family of four. Sweet Zara was so cute interacting with her new baby brother.

In-home newborn portraits create unique portraits because they are in your home and you never know what details you can incorporate into a session. I originally thought we would take his photos in the master bedroom -it was decorated so beautifully. When I walked through their home I noticed the nursery had the best natural light and large windows. I took his portraits on the floor and then moved a few things around to open up a clean white wall. I love the simplicity it brought to the images and how they showcase the details of the baby and connection of the family.
