This spring newborn photo session felt so happy and bright. Three of the sweetest little girls. I grew up in a family of five girls (until my little brother arrived years later) so this felt really special. I also love watching fathers interact when they have multiple daughters. They are so gentle and it makes me emotional to watch, thinking of my own father.

One thing I love about a spring newborn photo session is the option of indoor and outdoor photos. As I walk up to a client’s home I always look around me. Do they have a front porch, flower gardens or a swing to photograph at? This beautiful home had bright creeping phlox as you walked up their sidewalk. I knew I wanted to step outside for a few of the baby in the basket. I love incorporating things like blooms to help document the time of year a baby was born.
