This session was so full of joy and warm family connections. I always love when a grandparent opens the door when I arrive. It shows how much we need support and family when a new baby enters the world. This session was so close to our own home that I could walk there. We love our little neighborhood and enjoy meeting the people who live here.

Little Calvin did amazing for his entire session. He hardly made a peep but has the brightest eyes and watched everyone so intently. We started this DC newborn photo session in the master bedroom where we had amazing light and the sweetest wooden crib to photograph the baby in. I love the intimate and cozy images you can capture on a bed. My favorite images it to lay the mother down and have her snuggle her little one close.

We then moved into the nursery. I love seeing how parents make a room feel special and ready to welcome their little one home. We -of course- had to include the family dog. I think it’s so important to include the family pets and first babies of the house. I hope you enjoy this dc newborn photos session as much as I did.
