Hi friend! My name is Jessica, I am a family and portrait photographer based in Washington Dc. I am a Christian, wife, and identical twin. I love lilacs, candles, rainy days and honesty. I love finding joy in simple things.
This is the third post on where to take photos in DC. You can read the other two here and here. If you are a photographer most of these locations do require permits but I wanted to give my clients a visual of where you can take family portraits in DC. The Capitol area is one of my favorite locations! It offers such a fun variety and lots of white walls-my favorite. You can walk to the Library of Congress, cross the street and be at the Supreme Court. There are side gardens at the Supreme Court that most people walk by and miss because they are tucked away but they are amazing. There are even white marble benches to sit families on for portraits. I hope these blog posts help you when it comes to choosing your location to take your fall family photos.
