Home…

As a photographer I love posting photos where every thing is in place and beautiful. The truth is, life is pretty crazy right now during renovation and working 50+ hours a week, Here is a glimpse into "real life" right now. (Settlement day)

The Living Room

(the Living Room)

Our "closet" for the time being...Our Master Bedroom is under renovation so we used the pipes in the basement to hang our clothes.

I found this quote yesterday in my Bible during church. I love what it says about HOME: "A True Home-A roof to keep out the rain. Four walls to keep out the wind. Floors to keep out the cold. Yes, but home is more than that. It is a laugh of a baby, the song of a mother, the strength of a father. Warmth of loving hearts, light from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, comradeship. Home is first school...for the young ones where they learn right, what is good, and what is kind. Where They go for comfort when they are hurt or sick. Where joy is shared and sorrow eased. Where fathers and mothers are respected and loved. Where children are wanted. Where the simplest of food is good enough for kings because it is earned. Where money is not as important as loving-kindness. Where even the teakettle sings from happiness. That is home." Ernestine Shumann-heink. During these stressful, more hectic times I keep reminding myself of this and what I want our house to become...A Home.
