I have been a Washington DC Newborn Photographer for over 12 years and it will never loose it’s wonder. I love watching families grow and adding tiny people into their lives. This sweet baby girl was welcomed by a very excited big brother. We took all their portraits in their DC city row house. Many clients worry about the light in their homes because row homes tend to be very narrow but we always find a way. In this case, my clients had a large window in their master bedroom. It was perfect for some cozy snuggles on the bed with the whole family.

Then we moved outside for some more casual photos in front of their house. I loved the image of the mother soothing her daughter on the sidewalk of the city. It has a hurried yet slow feel…a hard yet soft touch to the image. Having a newborn somehow slows time and makes you truly savor. There’s no where to go but home and to be close to the ones that matter most.
