You truly never know what all you will need in the postpartum window but here is a list of items that I found helpful with my second birth.

Side Cart -Since I had a c-section, I stayed on our recliner for a few days once I got home. It was so helpful to have a cart next to my chair to easily grab things without having to get up. I got this cart off of Facebook Marketplace and it worked so well.

1. Newborn diapers 2. Pumping parts 3. Extra bra for mother 4. Burp clothes -I love these basic white ones 5. Water bottle/electrolyte 6. Quick snacks like protein balls and meat sticks 7. Extra outfit for baby 8. Hair ties and hair claw 9. Silverette 10. Chapstick

Basket for the Bathroom -this was so helpful this time! I didn’t do this for my first baby but there are a few extra items you need when you have a c-section birth.

1. Perry bottle 2. Pads of different size 3. Sanitizing wipe from the hospital for your incision 4. Scissors -you just never know when you will need them 5. disposal underwear (the hospital usually gives you these but ask for a few extra pairs when you leave if you’d had a c-section) 6. Comb, hairbrush and hair ties -We don’t have a shower on our main floor and I couldn’t take the stairs for a few days. Having my basic things close to get ready for the day was so helpful 7. Soft washcloth and soap 8. Lotion -coming home from the hospital you will feel very dry 9. Chapstick 10.
