Summer DC Photo Session

This summer DC photo session had all of my favorite things…beautiful location, darling baby and connected family! The Capitol is one of the most iconic DC backdrops and it’s so beautiful by the water. I love how locations can tell your family’s story and the season of your life you are currently in.

This Mama always chooses the best outfits that goes so well with the location she chooses. The white and blue hues were so beautiful together with a soft effect. We started their session near the Capitol and then moved over to the U.S. Botanic Garden. I’m so grateful DC offers such lovely locations and green spaces to photograph in the city. Summer offers so much color and lush greenery. We even added his Grandma into a few of the family portraits.

I highly recommend booking your summer session in the early morning before the heat of the day. The city is so quiet and you don’t need to worry about events or crowds. The Capitol and Bishop’s Garden are two of my favorite summer locations. Evenings are a great option too if your children don’t go to bed early.
