Maternity Session in DC | U.S. Botanic Garden

This maternity session in DC felt so whimsical. It had just started to mist when I met my clients, giving us the perfect lighting for their maternity session. We started at the Botanical Gardens in DC and then walked across the street to the Bartholdi Fountain. I love this location! It gives you blooming flower, a stunning fountain and gorgeous architecture all in one spot. I also love getting a few images of the Capitol in the background because it’s so classic DC.

I love when parents guide their children so gently and in a fun way. Toddlers get tired quickly but they had so much fun. They snuggles, rubbed noses, and looked at the ducks in the reflecting pool. Daddy evening gave his little girl a few twirls. These parents will make the most amazing “girl family” as they wait for their second little nugget to arrive. This maternity session in DC felt like such a dream and I can’t wait to photograph their newborn photos soon.
