I love winter family photos in DC because the city offers so many wonderful locations even during the colder months of the year. The Supreme Court is one of my favorite locations in all of the DMV. It offers beautiful gardens on either side of the building. So many people walk right by them because they are small but they are lovely just the same. The building itself has amazing architecture with the stairs in front and the grand pillars at the top. All of the white marble reflects the light, making it a photographers’ dream location.

I have known this sweet family for multiple years now. They have come through a very hard season of incredible health challenges all throughout the past year. I love watching how they banded together as a couple and family, finding the joy in life amidst trials. Their little girl makes them laugh in the most beautiful way. It was a privilege to get again take their winter family photos in DC.
