I enjoy taking Washington DC family photos because the city offers so many beautiful locations to photograph at like the Constitution Gardens. This location is right off of Constitution Avenue but still feels calm and peaceful. It has walking paths, a wonderful view of the Washington Monument, willow trees and the lovely pond. It’s the perfect place to take Washington DC family photos.

I have known this dear family for years now. I took Kai’s newborn session as the first and now have taken their fall family photos ever since. I adore when I can grow with a family over the years and capture the children in different seasons. They ran into some bad traffic on the way so we ended up started much later than anticipated but we still caught the golden hour light and ended up with the blue evening light right before the sun set.

Jessica serves families with natural posed portraits all throughout the DMV area. She specializes in maternity, newborn and family portraiture. Ten years of photography experience and 6 years of being a nanny, she adores working with children. Making them and their parents comfortable and capturing the bond a family has is her greatest joy.
