This December brought a whole new light to the Advent season for me. A new baby. A promised son. A long expectant wait for his arrival.

So many parallels to the birth of Christ and sweet ways it because more real for me as a new mother. The way that hope and weariness, peace and fear collide in life.

We are so grateful for the gift of little Robert but most grateful for the gift of His Son, coming as a babe to bring hope for the world. For you and me.

Luke 1:14 “He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth.”

Our first Christmas with Robert was full of naps and lots of cuddles. A few friends dropped by to check in and we chatted on the front porch in the sunshine. Our hearts couldn’t be more full of gratitude and joy.
