It’s such a privilege living so close and being an Old Town Alexandria photographer. Alexandria offers so many wonderful photography options. The cobblestone streets are very unique to Alexandria and always a favorite locations for family photos. I love shooting there in the early morning. I met these clients at 8am and the light was perfect. It gets filtered through the trees and creates beautiful bokeh in the background. Kiddos are always happy in the morning, another reason I enjoy mid-week morning family sessions.

We shot the first half of their session on the cobblestone street at the intersection of Union and Prince Streets. Then we walked around the corner (literally right down the street) to one of my favorite alleys in Alexandria; Wales Alley. It has lovely ivy growing on the brick walls and the light there is just beautiful. This little girl has found her independence and I love the images of her by herself as her personality shines through. She walked with such confidence. 🤍

After the session I walked down Prince Street and grabbed a coffee from Misha’s. It’s such good coffee and right next to the water. Being an Old Town Alexandria photographer is such a joy.
