This fall family session in DC felt so cozy. I loved the earth tones my client chose that paired perfectly with the changing colors of fall. It’s officially cardigan season and I love it. I met my clients at the National Cathedral in Bishop’s Garden. It’s amazing how different the garden looks in the fall compared to summer but I love it just the same.

Early mornings are such a great time to photograph your family because the children aren’t tired and ready to perform. I heard my clients promise breakfast and donuts after, such a great idea! Many times clients go out for ice cream after if they opt for an evening session. Incentives work wonderfully with kiddos especially if they know it’s coming but can’t physically see it.
