This Alexandria VA Family Session was such a dream! The location was a suggestion from my client and I am so excited to add it to my shooting list. River Farm has this sweet garden tucked away behind the historic house. It has lovely flowers, a little shed covered in succulents and the most golden morning light. We met early in hopes to escape some of this summer heat we are having in September.

I love when families are so comfortable around each other and you can just feel their love and connection. The little man wasn’t too sure of me at first so we took family photos, snuggles and walked around the gardens as a fun distraction. I secretly love serious baby photos but also adore a bright laugh especially when they are sporting two new teeth.

The Grandparents also joined us for a few heirloom photos at the end of the session. These are such an honor to capture as a family photographer. I dream that these kiddos will have them framed in their homes one day to always remember.

Jessica lives in Washington DC but works with client from Alexandria, Arlington and Northern Virginia. She loves capturing your family in a fun-filled and relaxed way. Creating memories together is so important for a child and photos allow them to remember these young years for a lifetime.
