We are so delighted to announce the gender of our sweet baby. We went into the Women’s Center yesterday for our baby’s anatomy scan. I honestly didn’t have a preference either way and had no inkling of whether it was a boy or a girl.

It took only seconds of watching our baby on the screen and I could see instantly. We are having a boy. Some days it still feels like we are dreaming still but all the developments make it real each day.

I had some anxiety the week before the scan. I had fallen while I was photographing a session and landed pretty hard, twisting my ankle. That entire week I didn’t feel the baby move and fear started to creep in. My friend gifted me a pack of pregnancy prayer cards and it felt like such perfect timing. Several things that have helped me face fears after infertility is prayer, voicing my fears to Daniel or a trusted friend and journaling in our baby journal.

We are so grateful we have made it healthy and strong this far. God is good.
