Washington DC Photo Locations | DC Family Photographer
DC offer so many amazing photography locations. From stunning architecture to hidden parks with lovely landscape…here are are a few of my favorite spots to share with my clients.
Washington DC Photo Locations
Library of Congress -I think this is my favorite building in DC. The architecture is stunning and it always makes me feel like I’m touring in Europe.
Supreme Court -I love the classic pillars and of course all the stunning white marble. This location gives you a variety of architecture and greenery. There is a beautiful garden on the side of the building with beautiful trees and flowers.
Botanial Gardens -This location is amazing for a sunrise session. The gardens are expansive with arches and a rose garden with benches tucked away for private moments. The green space is great for active kiddos to run and play.
Bartholdi Fountain -A hidden gem right by the Capitol building and Botanical Gardens. The fountain is absolutely stunning and encircled with lush fauna.
Bishop’s Garden -This location has been a favorite choice this year with my clients. The garden feels like paradise and even has a small fish pond.
Yard’s Park -This location gives you a bright modern feel with the white bridge that spans the park. There is a great view of the river.
U.S. Capitol -For sure a favorite of mine because it is classic DC. The steps and ironwork are so beautiful.
Upper Senate Park -This spot is easy to walk by but so pretty. There is a large fountain in the center but if you walk further down the stairs, more water cascades down the sides.
Smithsonian Castle -There are many side gardens to the Castle and my favorite has a sweet fountain with iron benches all around it. An oasis in the city.
Portrait Gallery -This is a great option if you need an indoor location. It has a glass room to the atrium which allows good light with lush plants and flowers even in the winter.
National Gallery of Art -Another lovely indoor option with a whimsical and artistic feel.
Meridian Hill -A darker location that I typically prefer but lovely just the same.
