It’s such an honor to be chosen as a Washington DC maternity photographer. Each family who chooses me to document these special moments are incredibly important to me. This sweet mama chose my Baby Membership which means I get to enjoy all the special milestones for their baby.

She emailed me the night before her maternity session saying she thought she was going into labor. I told her to contract me in the morning -we had planned a sunrise session at the Lincoln Memorial. She text the next morning saying baby hadn’t arrived yet and we were still planning to meet. Being a Washington DC maternity photographer allows me to photograph in some amazing locations.

Instead of a sunrise we had a dreary day with a light drizzle of rain. We even had to move a barrier to get a few of these images but it was all worth it. She was a stunning mother who wanted a classic look at the white pillars. She then changed into a lavender dress and we walked down to the reflecting pool. As she was walking in the hazy morning with the water behind her, I said she looked like she belonged in the Pride and Prejudice movie. She laughed and said it was one of her favorites.
