This maternity session at the Lincoln Memorial felt like a dream. The morning was overcast and it gifted us the perfect light. We met before 6 am to avoid the crowds and I am convinced it’s the magical time in the city. Everyone is still waking up and the location is so peaceful at the reflecting pool. I photographed this sweet family when Elliot was a newborn.

Their family is moving out of DC and they wanted to document their maternity session at an iconic DC location. A maternity session at the Lincoln Memorial was the perfect idea. Children are so happy in the morning and little Elliot was promised a fun breakfast after their session. It was the perfect start to the day.
