This Maternity Session at the Lincoln Memorial felt really special. Any time another photographer/friend asks you to photograph their family, it is such an honor. We met at the Reflecting Pool but I always forget how they drain the pool each Spring. We still made it work and had a lovely time anyway.

We then walked up the stairs to the pillars to catch that iconic DC view of the Monument as the sun rose. They even brought their fluff ball along and it made so many good memories. There is something sacred about the expectant time waiting for a baby, but when you have waited for many years, it’s all the more special.
