We are getting so close to finalized our adoption. It feels surreal when you wait for something so long (10 years) and it’s close to reality. Our agency told us our paperwork is finalized and our profile will go online soon. This allows potential parents to view our profile and hopefully choose us to parent their child.

They also said we need around 35 photos of us doing things we typically do on a normal day. These are the moments I’m incredibly grateful for the friends in our lives that drop everything at a moments notice. My good (and incredibly talented) friend Whitney did just that. She met us that afternoon and followed us around doing our favorite things.

1. Walking together in DC.
2. Going to our favorite coffee shop
3. Working at The Creamery together
4. Being home
5. Playing with our friend’s children
6. Eating at our favorite French Bistro – Primrose

When we received the images I got very emotional. I rarely see us do normal things together in photo form. I love that they are US. Me talking in all the images when I shouldn’t be, Daniel fist bumping Thatcher, enjoying the years of just the two of us as we build our marriage and home in DC. I will treasure these always.
