My friend Liz and I got were sitting at our favorite local coffee shop and she mentioned how fun it would be to go to New York City over Christmas time. I love everything about bustling cities at Christmas and all the lights and told her I was in! We met at Union Station at 4:30 am, stopped by Starbucks for our mobile order and got on the train. I finished a book and she edited photos on our 3 hour ride.

We had the most wonderful time. We exited the station and ducked into a small coffee shop while the snow fell. It cleared off so we set out and walked all day until we caught our train home. Liz did all the navigating, while I followed because my sense of direction is nothing to be proud of. Thanks Liz! Here is a list of places we went:

If you get the change to visit New York at Christmas time, do it! It was so much fun. I recommend making a list of places you want to see but don’t hold yourself to a tight schedule. Sometimes the best spots are the places you happened by while you are walking.
