Things you will need:

1. Adorable 1 year old (obviously)
2. Decorated cake -I’d say the more simple the better.
3. Cake topper -You can add a cute cake topper with their name or number they are turning. Here are a few examples: name or number cake topper here and here, Etsy has hundreds of options!
4. Banners -these aren’t necessary but make for a cute touch. Here is a very nice option.
5. Location -the options are endless here. Indoor or outside are both great, it all depends on what theme you want. I’ve photographed in a family living room and outside at a local park. Either way is super fun but I do recommend having the background as simple as possible so nothing detracts from the little person you are wanting to celebrate.
