I get so many clients asking if they can bring their family pets to their photo sessions and incorporate them into the shoot somehow. Many people don’t know that my first “real” job was working for my cousins who owned a pet grooming shop. I adore animals and loved my job! Who would have dreamed that job would benefit my current photography business? So, yes. I love when clients bring their pets to their sessions with me. They are part of the family too!

When I have at-home newborn sessions the dogs are the first to greet me at the door. I love how dogs add a fun and casual feeling to any session. I’ll admit, it’s a lot to coral parents, toddlers and then throw animals into the mix. Secretly though….I love a little chaos. It causes unpredictability but creates moments you can’t plan and makes memories in the process. Here are a few examples of pets joining the family for their session. Enjoy!
