It amazes me how you can go from a family of 3 one day and a family of 4 the next and quickly forget how life was before the new baby. The Strahorn family was very excited to welcome baby Smith into the world. He was pretty much perfection. With big eyes and so calm. Little Scarlett was as gentle as could be and took her new “big sister” role very seriously.

The day was cloudy, yet mild so we started outside on their beautiful porch. Then we went inside for a few snuggles on the couch and portraits in Smith’s nursery. Several times during their session I caught Natalie taking a moment to stop and smell her sweet baby’s head. Because those new baby smells don’t last forever! I loved so much about this session: Scarlet’s pink bandaid, how Daddy’s always make toddlers laugh, and the neutal, relaxed feel of their family of four.
