It’s so fun photographing family but to be honest they are usually my hardest clients. 🙂 The children know me and are so comfortable, you never know what to expect. I always use the first 10 minutes of ever session when the children are shy to capture the portraits and family poses. Then at the end of the session when they have warmed up to be a bit more I can capture their expressions and personality in it’s full glory.

My nephew Melchi does NOT enjoy photos, but oh his Mama loves them! Deanna asked him if he could stand still just a little while to get a few photos for Mama. He did his very best and you can just see his efforts throughout these photos. (It melted my heart!) It was a brisk, fall morning when we scampered across the street and snapped these images. Sometimes the last minute sessions are the best, aren’t they?
