One of my all-time favorite things about photographing in the city is all the different locations DC has to offer. We have urban streets, cityscapes, botanical gardens and and quiet neighborhoods. It was a cold, rainy day for the Weber family so we spent most of their session in-doors at the Botanical Gardens and then stepped outside for the last few colors left from fall.

We all had forgotten that there was a marathon in the morning-just part of living in DC- so we had to park several blocks away from our location. This turned out to be a great thing because on our walk back we passed in front of the Capitol and as the rain moved in it gave us a wonderful view of the Capitol. We of course set down our things and quickly posed for a classic DC shot. Sometimes the last-minute images turn out to be my favorite!
