There are so many unpredictable things when starting a family photo session-tired children you can give a snack or get out a toy, rain you can go to a sheltered or indoor location- but my worst fear as a photographer is wind. Anna and Dee’s session was SO windy and you could never tell on their photos. They were so calm about it even if they had to comb their hair several times. We started out at the Library of Congress but it got so windy we had to move to the top of the stairs to a small alcove where it was more sheltered.

Anna is an incredibly beautiful mother and sweet little Ford is a charmer with those blue eyes. I love the way Dee interacts with with this family, so loving and fun and up for anything. Enjoy their Capitol Hill session in the fall, warm light at the Capitol.
