A few months ago another DC photographer and I swapped headshot sessions. Marianne loves warm weather and sunshine and since it was so cold in DC she asked if I would be interested in taking a road trip with her to Charleston. I had heard so much about this charming city -and love the South and sweet tea- so of course I was in!

It was all I dreamed it would be, and more. Palm trees lined the cobblestone streets and even the bike share was adorable. It has the oldest post office in the United States…so much history here! From Folly Beach to Rainbow Row, we explored it all! Enjoy a peak into the southern charm of this beautiful city.

We woke up before sunrise to drive out to Folly Beach. It was worth every minute of missed sleep.

The last day we visited the Magnolia Plantation. I highly recommend visiting. The grounds are just amazing. We didn’t have time to take the house tour but the gardens alone were worth it!

One place I really wanted to visit was Sugar Bakeshop. It was so small but had the best cupcakes, and just look how cute it is!
