Sometimes things don’t go as planned. That’s why I’m writing my Wednesday post on Thursday-even after I promised you all just last week I would commit to a schedule.

Last week was quite eventful. Wednesday I walked to my car to find it completely ransacked. Oddly enough they re-locked my car when they left. Every compartment was open, every cord unplugged, and change container gone. It wouldn’t have been so bad but they slashed my car door breaking in and the worst part…the very worst?! They stole my favorite white sandals!! I always keep a spare top and shoes in my card in case I go somewhere after work. If any of you have suggestions for cute and comfy white sandals, let me know.

The next morning I got up and was doing my normal routine before work. I grabbed my purse, coat and lunch and headed for the door. I went to dis-alarm the house and the control panel was black. But the alarm was set. I tried everything I could but had to go upstairs and wake Daniel. Nothing like getting up to fix a problem right away. It took 45 minutes of communicating with the alarm company to figure it out. I was late for work and a bit flustered. Daniel said he thought I was going to break loose if I had to wait much longer-I’ll admit, I was eyeing the window.  Alarms are to keep people out, not trap you in. 😉 As I hurried out the door the skied opened and it poured rain.

As I ran through the rain to work, I was thankful for a helpful husband, a patient employer, and situations that teach flexibility.
