Grace.
I’ve never chosen a “word for the year” before but this year grace has resounded time and time again in me. We all need grace so much! I need grace from my husband, employer, friends and most importantly God. When ugly and hurtful things happen to us it’s so easy to react in defense or anger but when grace is extended powerful things happen. I don’t want to only receive it, I want to give it…and more freely this year.

I see it time and time again. Friendships during misunderstandings, mothers who feel they don’t measure up, spouses in the everyday moments…we all desperately need grace in our lives. It’s a gesture that can bring someone from discouragement to hope.
