A few weeks ago, Danny and I visited my twin sister and her family in West Virginia. It was a lazy, warm afternoon; we had just finished cleaning their new house. My sister laid down her youngest for a nap so my niece and I sat outside under the trees talking about 6 year-old things. You know, important things like school and her new kitten while she picked wild daisies. I let her take several photos before we were called inside for iced tea.

It was so perfect it almost made me ache, remembering back to my sister’s and I playing on the farm. Truly the essence of summer childhood!
