I have known Mai for almost 5 years now. She is strong, independent, a true friend, and countless times her faith has challenged me. We walked around the college campus snapping portraits while we caught up on life. We were talking about what changes a new baby brings, and she asked me about Danny and I’s hope of adopting one day. As we finished up the session the sun peaked out for a few seconds, she raised her hands and softly prayed for our “dream family.” No other gift in the world could have meant more to me!
