Good things take time. It’s so easy to look at other Creatives and friends and think good things just happen to them “over night.” That couldn’t be farther from the truth! Sometimes it’s scary the lies we believe. We don’t see all the hustle and time others put into their projects. The sweat, and some days the tears.

For two years I have been tending to two African Violets my Mother-in-law gave me. I by no means am a “green thumb,” but I really wanted to make them bloom! They will be from Danny’s Great-Grandmother’s violet. What an heirloom! Well friends, after two years I finally have blooms. Two years of just green leaves and dirt, I have lovely bright purple blossoms.

It may seem odd to take a life lesson from a flower but if you are in the middle of child-training, waiting for the next promotion, or working on dreams for your business; keep going! With some time and patience-and prayer-good things do happen. We can’t always see what is going on behind the scenes or in a person’s heart and life.
