Hi friend! My name is Jessica, I am a family and portrait photographer based in Washington Dc. I am a Christian, wife, and identical twin. I love lilacs, candles, rainy days and honesty. I love finding joy in simple things.
Washington Dc and Puerto Rico on the same day.
The weather was perfect: 85 and breezy except for an occasional rain shower.
A pelican diving for lunch.
We walked along the fort walls almost every evening.
We toured the 3 San Juan forts one day…so much history here!
I loved the textured walls.
Pennies along the walls that turned green from the salty air.
The Pigeon Wall-you can see where they roost on the wall. There was so many it was actually loud.
While Heidi and I were off taking photos, Brendan and Danny skipped rocks and looked for sea glass.
Our house along a street in Old San Juan.
The Garden Suit-it opened up into a balcony filled with ferns. I woke up one morning listening to the rain fall-so peaceful.
Our itty-bitty kitchen.
The common area-we stopped by a local shop and bought pastries to eat while we played games in the evening.
The next few shots are iPhone pics: our favorite coffee shop where we ate breakfast.
We happened upon a wedding-it was at a gorgeous old cathedral!
Left: waiting to go to the airport.
Right: we just walked 45 minutes in the rain till we got to our house.
The beaches were beautiful! Even though I don’t like coconut, I had to try a fresh one. (danny ended up eating it)
A typical Puerto Rican dish: chicken, rice, avocado, with fried plantains.
Left: cafes lined the streets.
Right: Nothing beats fresh mango smoothies.
