These family photos at the Capitol were filled with warm sunlight and such joy. The Capitol is one of my favorite photo locations in all of DC. At sunrise it gives you this magical light with the beautiful white dome behind you. There’s a lovely spot directly in front of the Capitol that has beautiful white marble architecture. It also has a gorgeous tree line behind you as the light filters through the leaves. A wonderful hidden gem with a view of the Washington Monument.

I have photographed this sweet family for years and love watching their two girls grow up. They have such a relaxed and comfortable family bond together. This always makes capturing photos even more special. I love that Grandma was able to join us again this year. Enjoy their festive and fun family photos at the Capitol.
