These family photos at the Capitol are full of warmth and laughter. It’s hard to believe I took this young man’s newborn photos just two years ago! Time simply flies. It’s the greatest compliment when families keep asking me to document their portraits.

Is there anything sweeter than a little boy in boots and suspenders? His personality is so much fun to capture. Toddlers don’t hold back on how they are feeling. It can create a challenge but also genuine expressions. They are the best!

I adore taking family photos at the Capitol. This location offers a gorgeous view of the Capitol, white architecture and wonderful greenery. My favorite time to shoot at this location is in the late fall when the trees still have foliage and the most color. Sunrise is the best so you have the location all to yourself.
