I have so many favorite locations for Family photos in DC. One of the most used spots is the Supreme Court side gardens. I love this anytime of the year but late summer and fall is beautiful. It has a wonderful view of the Capitol with lots of greenery and flowers. I have even shot here during the winter months too.

The Supreme Court is easily assemble from this location. I love the classic architecture of the front stairs and the columns at the top. You can cross the street and be at the Library of Congress in a short walk as well. The ideal time to shoot here in the autumn months is between two and four pm. The setting sun shines golden behind the Capitol and bushes creating a warmth to your images.
