This Fairfax VA Newborn Session felt so soft and peaceful and the perfect setting for a little girl. I love in-home newborn sessions that have gentle light and details. This family has such a warmth to them and it comes through as they relate to each other with kindness and laughter.

We started out in the master bedroom like I usually do for most newborn sessions. The day we had scheduled was dark and rainy so we postposed a few days and I’m so glad we did! Having lots of sunshine makes such a difference for any indoor newborn session.

We then stepped outdoors to capture a few moments of the family playing together in the backyard. I recently bought this Dua basket and loved how it complimented the first autumn leaves that had fallen. I love the mix of soft indoor and natural tones in this Fairfax VA Newborn Session.
