I hope you enjoy viewing this joy-filled family session in DC as much as I did photographing it. The bright flowers and fun personalities of the children were the perfect combination. Above all, I love when you can tangibly fee and see a family’s connection to one other. This was my third or fourth session with this sweet family and it truly feels like I’m meeting up with friends each time.

Being relaxed as parents during a photo session allows you to capture a joy-fill family session in DC. It can be very stressful leading up to a family photo session. You have to get everyone dressed and out the door on time. Meanwhile you pray that no one melts down or spills food over their clothes on the route to the session. But children mirror their parent’s behavior and it’s so important that we can be relaxed and comfortable for them, in turn making it a fun and bonding experience.
