It is such an honor being an Alexandria, VA Newborn Photographer. I’ve known the J family for years and it was so exciting to hear they welcomed a daughter. This little girl was an absolute doll. She had the biggest, bright eyes and just looked all around so contentedly.

Her big brother was fascinated by his little sister. I loved his baby blue outfit and tiny loafers. He wanted to go look at his sister laying in the crib and the unposed images always become my favorite. Anytime a moment happens organically they are always much more special. Having the opportunity to be an Alexandria, VA Newborn Photographer is such a delight.

Here is another session I took of this sweet family when little James was born. I love growing with families as they move to new homes and welcome more children into their hearts.

For my newborn sessions I use the Canon R5 and 50mm for most of my images. I also love my 100mm macro to capture all of those tiny details that change so quickly in a newborn. My favorite newborn wrap is from One Sheep Two Sheep.
