Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about words. How small they seem but how crucial they are in our lives.
I know several women who have cancer, friends from work lost a brother in an accident last week, one of my best friends just lost a baby a month ago.
When is it best to say something and when do you keep silent?
I wish there was a negative detector that would go off when I’m ready to say something nasty or tempted to join in gossip. It’s humbling to think just a few words can brighten someone’s day or make them gloomy and down.
Sadly, I have to admit my words need a huge improvement and I’m hoping writing this our will challenge me to speak positively and say no to negative words.
My week’s prayer:
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight.”
